David Wheeler is Senior Vice President and the Head of Global Mortality Markets Underwriting for RGA Reinsurance Company. In this role, David has responsibility for the management of approximately 300,000 facultative underwriting cases per year. Dave oversees 200 underwriters, medical directors, and professional and operational support associates dedicated to the underwriting function. In addition, he is accountable for RGA’s global underwriting risk management and facultative mortality results; leads underwriting participation in decisions regarding pricing, marketing and claims; and oversees the Electronic Health Records department and the E’Underwriting Rules Development, which is responsible for AURA Global Underwriting Rules.
